These are a Few of My Favourite Things

28th March 2018

“Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens”

Hello! How is your week going? It’s nice to have nicer weather isn’t it? As much as I love snow and how pretty it makes everything, it was bloody bitter wasn’t it! You couldn’t really stay out in it for long and it made going out a bit of a faff, didn’t it? I’m enjoyng the sunnier and slightly less baltic weather anyway, and it’s getting me very excited for spring.

I have a few more general favourites this month; I realised there have been a few things that I have really been loving, so I thought I would share them with you!

Here are a few of my favourite things:

ASOS ombre jumper

I love this ASOS Mermaid/Unicorn jumper and have been getting lots of compliments on it. It’s from ASOS, and it’s so warm and cosy. I do find that a lot of ASOS jumpers tend to have quite a lot of acrylic in them so they do go a bit fuzzy and bobbly quickly, which is really annoying – I really need to get one of those de-fuzzer things!

Also, why do we all immediately think of unicorns or mermaids when it comes to these kind of colours?! I thought it straight away and others have said it too, but neither unicorns nor mermaids are green, purple, pink and cream ombre, are they? We’re all a bit strange I think.

Air and grace Copeland glitter trainers

I love, love, love my Air and Grace Copeland’s and have lived in them since I got them. All Air and Grace shoes have patented Tender Loving Air® comfort technology (created from three different layers of memory and recovery foam cushioning, shaped into a wedge, and cleverly hidden inside the shoe), so they are super comfy and I can wear them all day without any problems. They are very expensive but I got a good discount and used my Christmas money to treat myself and I think they are totally worth it. I think they’ll last me such a long time, and they still look as good as new now.

I was planning on getting the leopard print ones (which I still really want!) but thought I could wear the navy glitter ones with pretty much anything and I just love the glitter and I’m so happy with them. They make any outfit more interesting and they are so much comfier than any other trainers I own. I reeeeally want the pink neon ones that they have just brought out too – they are so cool and I love them.

The Air and Grace brand and the people behind it are great too; I love how much they seem to care. I know I probably sound like I’m raving about them a bit too much but I did buy these myself. Air and Grace did very kindly send me a pair of their leopard print loafers which they used to make, but that was years ago.

ASOS

I just love ASOS in general. They have so much stuff, so many different brands and I can always find so much that I love and want to order. The delivery is so fast, and I find, so reliable – I pay for the next day delivery, but at £9.95 for the whole year, I think it is completely worth it.

I also love how easy it is to return, just by filling in the form that they send and taking it to the post office, and it’s free. They also have regular offers and discounts on, and they do student discount too. I find that their points add up pretty quickly, so I then get £5 off regularly too! I just think it’s great.

Exercising & feeling fitter and leaner

I have been consistently exercising for a couple of weeks again now, and I feel so much better already. I have felt quite poorly recently and really had to force myself to exercise some days, but I have felt better every single time that I did it. I’ve also lost a bit of weight and am starting to see some tone come back in certain areas of my body again, which I love. I love strength training and what it does for my body; it really sculpts it and I notice a difference pretty quickly.

Annoyingly the weight that I have lost isn’t yet coming off the parts I’m desperate to lose it from (my legs!), but you can’t spot-reduce fat, so I know that I just need to keep going and eventually it will start to come off other areas too.

Daffodils

I bloody love it when it’s time for the Daffodils to come out and be in all the shops! They’re just so pretty and the yellow makes me so happy, and I really love that you can buy them for a pound everywhere! I love having flowers in my house, but I can’t really afford to have them all the time, so I love Daffodil season when I can have them regularly, and they really brighten up my day.

Do you have anything to share that you have been loving this month? Any style or beauty favourites you think I’d love? I’d love to hear about them!
