My New Favourite Leggings | Boody Eco Wear Review and Giveaway

“Simple, comfortable and attractive apparel with earth-friendly materials.”

Boody Eco Wear Review

I’ve talked about leggings quite a bit on this here blog. You could say I’m a bit obsessed with the stretchy, comfy, potentially very unflattering garments. I live in them at home and swap my jeans for them pretty much as soon as I walk in the door.

I also love comfy, stretchy bras (fashion bloggers beware) and often change into one for the evening too, so when I was asked by the Eco Wear brand Boody if I would like to try some of their clothing, I jumped at the chance.

Boody arose from the challenge to find simple, comfortable and attractive apparel with earth-friendly materials. The clothes are made from sustainable and abundant bamboo, grown in regenerating forests, with a touch of nylon and elastane to create a fabric that is incredibly soft, stretchy, and wrinkle-free.

And they really are so soft and comfortable to wear. I chose the full leggings (£21.95) and the padded shaper bra (£19.95), both in black. I adore the leggings; they have such a nice stretch to them and are really great quality. I have worn and washed them dozens of times, and they still look great. They are by far the comfiest leggings I own. The only slight negative I have is that I could do with them having a bit more material over the bum area (too much junk in the trunk), as they do pull down slightly at the back. But they’re still really lovely to wear and I’m planning on getting another pair, I like them that much. They have a really nice thick waistband that sits perfectly and doesn’t dig in at all (like most leggings do).

The padded shaper bra is also lovely and soft, and extremely comfortable. I do find the sizing to come up quite big, or perhaps it’s the stretch? I’m not sure; but I have a small size which would usually come up on the smaller size on me with bigger boobs, but it does feel slightly too big for me, which means it’s not amazingly supportive. I still love it for wearing at home, which is the idea anyway.

The bra top is seam free and has removable pads inside and is easy to pull on when you finally get home and just want to be comfy, quickly. The leggings don’t have seams either, which makes them so smooth. They’re great for wearing every day, as well as for exercising in – they are thermoregulating and breathable, so perfect for getting hot and sweaty in, and so comfortable for activities like yoga as they’re so stretchy. They would also make a really good base layer when it’s freezing cold, to keep you snuggly and warm on a long walk. Boody is also anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and hypo-allergenic.

Boody Eco Wear Review

Boody is passionate about the environment and they are committed to producing high-quality products with a focus on sustainable materials and practices, so that they have a minimum footprint on our planet, and I love that about them. I love brands that care and it makes me want to buy from them more.

I really fancy some of the knickers, and the tops too, then I could stroke myself all over, like I possibly do with the leggings already (they’re so smooth and silky!). Boody also do clothing for men, and a beautiful baby range – I can imagine the softness of the materials being perfect for a baby’s skin, especially as the bamboo fibers that make up the clothing are not chemically treated.

  1. £15.95 Eco-friendly, environmentally responsible fabrics, clothing and household materials are definitely the way forward. And modern technology means they can look and feel fabulous and be affordable. Many thanks for this lovely giveaway.

  2. Love the look of the leggings – I’m not sure I would find the top too supportive either but could wear it under something with a good sports bra (I’m quite buxom)
