I got married in 2015 at a beautiful place in the countryside in Nottinghamshire. It was such a special day with all of our loved ones. But I did contemplate potentially getting married abroad before we decided on having it in our home country.

I dreamed of a perfect wedding in France or Italy, but I knew that I really wanted all of my friends and family to be there, and some wouldn’t be able to come if we did it that way.
My sister did decide to get married in Portugal though, and it was a really wonderful day, in the red hot sun, and Ava and I were bridesmaids. It was lovely there just being a smaller group of us, and with a wonderful backdrop of the clear blue sea. It was such a lovely, chilled day.
I had a pretty big wedding and that is how I wanted it – everyone who was there was special to us. But if I were to ever marry again (ha!) or if we decided to renew our vows I would really love a small ceremony abroad. Greece would be my first choice; the Greek islands are stunning, and would be my ideal place for an intimate ceremony, or even if it was just the two of us; it would be so romantic.

I’d then love to head to the Maldives for a really relaxing week or two by ourselves to celebrate and spend some quality time together. It would be amazing having dinner next to the beach at sunset, and then taking a stroll across the sand together, before another glass of wine or two. The days would be spent topping up my tan on one of those massive sunbeds that is like an actual bed, with a cocktail in my hand and a gentle breeze would cool my skin. Oh I need a holiday!
