Tragic Kingdom, Blogging and Leggings #LittleLoves

This week feels like such a blur and I’m not really sure why. I have been working on my blog loads, which is unusual, but there is still so much I want to do. I have changed a couple of bits on my blog; mainly I have changed it from showing full posts on the front page to just showing a bit, as I have read that is what people tend to prefer. That way they don’t have to scroll through entire posts that they don’t want to read, to find something that they do. It took me a while to get it all sorted; the tags showed once I changed it, as did the social media buttons so I had to fiddle with the code for a while until I figured out how to do it. I’m always surprised when I manage to do something like that by myself, and feel a bit proud 🙂

Birds and Lilies Blog

Read

I have only read blogs this week which is quite nice. I need to get better at keeping a list of posts I love, as I’ve read some great one’s this week. I am really loving ‘Noah and the Girls‘ blog at the moment. Kerry is really lovely, and I enjoy reading all of her posts. It’s exactly my kind of blog.

Watched

I have actually been blogging every single night this week, which is highly unusual for me. I normally want to carry on working at night but am just far too exhausted, and I have to just collapse in front of the tv. But this week, although I am as knackered as ever I have really been enjoying writing posts in the evening.

So I have barely watched anything on television this week, but I did watch a Sex and the City the other night when I was home alone. I want to start watching the new series of Homeland that is on Netflix now, and also I think I’ll give Sons of Anarchy a try as a few of you have recommended it. Ooh, I also want to watch the next Hunger Games film on Netflix (I think it is the second part of the second one??).

Wore

I had to get dressed properly a few times this week to do the school run. I do sometimes find it difficult to get out of my leggings and cosy jumper. On Tuesday when I was at home before I had to pick my daughter up it was looking quite dull and I actually hoped that it would rain so that I could just put my raincoat on over my clothes and not change from my leggings to my jeans! Aren’t I just the epitome of put-together chic mummy? I’m so proud of myself.

Heard

I’ve listened to quite a few random songs this week. I saw that No Doubt’s album ‘Tragic Kingdom’ is twenty years old! Doesn’t that make you feel old?! I loved that album and I still have it. ‘Don’t Speak’ is my favourite ever song and that album brings back a lot of memories, so it was nice to have some songs from this album in my head again.

Another blast from the past (but not so far in the past) was Kate Nash’s song ‘We Get On’. It has been in my head all week for some reason. And then that made me listen to some more of her songs from that album. I’ve never heard anyone talk about it, and it’s a weird one, but I do like ‘Birds’. Have you ever listened to it?

And lastly…

Emma with baby

I wondered if anybody who reads this would mind quickly taking a look at this post of mine ‘One Wish For My Daughter’ please? For every view of that post, Pampers will donate three vaccines to UNICEF for Maternal and Newborn Tetanus, which is still a deadly disease in 21 countries, and claims the lives of 49,000 babies every year. It’s a really easy way to help. Thanks so much!

Hope you have all had a delightful week!
