The Gloss Hair Range from Smith England | A Review & Giveaway (Ended)

My hair is something that I always seem to struggle with, and I’m never really happy with it. I’m not great at doing it myself, although I think I’ve got better at it, and I’m never really satisfied with the length (that’s what she said).

At the moment it’s short again, which seems to suit me better, but then I always end up wanting to grow it again — until it’s long and then I want a cool, short cut again.

Anyway, I do really notice a difference to my hair when I don’t just use any old cheapy shampoo and conditioner, so I do usually spend a bit more on good quality ones, with better ingredients — luckily I’ve gone from washing my hair every day for twenty years, to washing it every two or three days which means lovely hair products last a lot longer! I never really felt properly clean unless I washed my hair every day as well as my body, but I’ve managed to embrace a dry shampoo that works for me so I can now go a bit longer between washes.

Now that you know my haircare routine in some detail, let’s get onto the reason for this post. I hadn’t heard of Smith England until they sent me their lovely gloss range, which includes a Shine Expert Shampoo, Conditioner and oil. Smith England’s hair care is cruelty-free and inspired by nature. Their shampoos and conditioners offer hydrating, volume-boosting, gentle, shine-inducing and colour-protecting formulas without nasty ingredients like parabens, sulphates, silicones and colourants.

I love that the bottles are also made from 100% recycled plastic and are recyclable too. All of the products are also vegan other than the Gloss range, which has honey in it.

From the first time I used the Gloss shampoo, conditioner and hair oil, I noticed such a difference in my hair. It felt and looked so lovely and soft and smooth, and it stayed so nice and sleek all day. I wasn’t that careful with the hair oil as I wanted to test it properly and see if it might make my hair greasy very easily (as so many hair oils do), but it didn’t at all, it just made my hair feel soft and silky. They are such lovely products, and I’ve found that I don’t need to use as much as I ordinarily would, so they should last a good amount of time, too.

The Shine Expert Shampoo is sulphate-free and is said to effectively cleanse and hydrate the hair, adding strength and shine. The shampoo has a luxurious formula that delivers instant hydration and increases with every use. The products all smell really nice (mandarin and fig apparently) and also have honey, chamomile and pro-vitamin B5.

Shine Expert Conditioner moisturises and nourishes dry, dull hair to help give a healthy shine. It also contains the aromas of mandarin and fig to help you ‘mindfully relax’, as well as Honey, Chamomile, Pro-Vitamin B5, Grapeseed Oil & Coconut Oil.

The Shine Expert Oil in the Gloss Range from Smith England aims to give sublime softness and a perfect finish. You can apply it to either wet or dry hair to help detangle, de-frizz and add everyday shine with the ingredients Rosehip Oil & Grapeseed Oil.

All three products in the Gloss range retail at £10 each, and you can also get a Shampoo & Conditioner Gift Set for £16.

They are such lovely products, and I am really enjoying using the range and how great my hair feels afterwards.
