When it comes to style, mine is quite simple, and that also translates to the jewellery I wear.
I really love jewellery and I very rarely take off my silver rings, bangles and earrings. I like my jewellery to be modern and easy to wear. I gave up a few years ago buying jewellery that isn’t proper sterling silver or gold as they just tarnish so quickly and easily so never seem to be worth the money, but I also don’t want to spend a ton on it.
I hadn’t heard of Wolf & Gypsy until recently, and not only do they make really beautiful jewellery, but they also have great ethics behind them.
All of their lovely jewellery is ethically sourced and uses recycled sterling silver and gold to make the pieces as well as using eco-friendly packaging. Everything is made from either sterling silver, gold vermeil, or 14ct gold, with ethically sourced, conflict-free gemstones.
The founder of Wolf & Gypsy, Tori Shay, designs each piece of jewellery in the UK, and they are then handcrafted by artisans in an ethical workshop in India, where attention to detail and quality is very important.
Due to my body shape, I find that when I wear a higher necked top a necklace makes it look so much better, giving me a better shape across my neckline, and it also stops it from looking quite so plain. So I particularly love a necklace that goes with everything.
The brand have so much jewellery that I love and that is totally to my taste, so I found it really hard to choose, but I knew I wanted a silver necklace that would go with everything and I could get lots of wear out of. I do really love gold jewellery but I find that I wear silver so much more, and my rings, bracelets and earrings are all silver.
I chose the Arc necklace in silver and it’s so simple but pretty and can be layered with other necklaces easily too. It goes with everything which is what I wanted, and the 22″ chain I chose sits perfectly on me.
I really love that you can choose varying chain lengths for their necklaces. I often find one I love and then discover it has a short chain and they just don’t suit me sitting so high on my chest.
The sterling silver necklace is such brilliant quality and I’m sure I will have it a long time. The necklace came in a pretty cardboard box, with minimal eco-friendly packaging which is FSC® Certified, recycled & biodegradable.
This Arc necklace pendant features a full circle which is symbolic of a female goddess, representing female power and protection. The minimalist hoop design is inspired by the sun, bringing light to its holder. I love jewellery that has a little story behind it, and I particularly love what this one represents. Yes, I am indeed a goddess, thank you very much.
I also particularly love the delicate Clear Crescent Moon necklace and the element (Earth, water, fire, air) necklaces are so pretty too, with ethically sourced gemstones.
Wolf & Gypsy also do an amazing vintage collection, which offers one-of-a-kind pieces of re-discovered jewellery items, so you can get something totally unique that has a history behind it. This collection is a lot more expensive than the main collections, but they make really special pieces to treasure, and plus they are even better for our planet.
The Wolf & Gypsy website is great; really easy to navigate and find what you are looking for, and I love the modern branding.
Standard delivery in the UK is always free, which is great (I hate paying delivery costs for a reasonably expensive piece of jewellery, which you often have to do!) and if you order before 1pm on a weekday then they will dispatch the same day. It’s also easy to return within 30 days.
Environmental responsibility is really important to Wolf & Gypsy so they are a member of 1% For The Planet, which means they have pledged to donate a minimum of 1% of annual sales to support environmental non-profit organisations, such as WWF-UK, Tree-Nation and Plastic-Free Me.
