Taking care of my health has always been pretty important to me, and it’s something I think about a lot. It can be hard to look after ourselves properly when we have such busy and demanding lifestyles, but self-care is so important, so anything that we can do to help ourselves, even in a small way, can only be a good thing.
For years I have taken quite a few vitamins. I like trying to improve my health as much as I can, as well as help to top up any bits that I might be missing in my diet and life. I had actually been looking for a supplement to start taking to try and improve my hair, as I have felt that I have been losing a bit more from the front and certain areas had started to look a bit thin, so I was happy to be trying the Collagen Beauty Formula. It is one of those things that is hard to quantify, but I really think that I have started to see a difference very quickly after taking this supplement for a few weeks. I feel like I have got some baby hairs growing back along my hairline which is brilliant! I’ll definitely keep taking it and hopefully notice further improvements in my hair and nails.
I have also recently started taking the Advanced Immune Support, which I really feel like I am in need of right now. My immune system has seemed really rubbish recently, and I’ve been ill for the best part of the last month. So this supplement which contains Beta-Glucans, Elderberry, Vitamin D3, garlic, vitamins A & C, zinc and selenium to contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system is exactly what I need right now as it is getting colder and there are so many bugs around.
The two collagen formulas both contain hydrolysed pure marine collagen, which means it comes purely from fish collagen rather than bovine or other animals. As well as some people preferring collagen to not be from meat sources, it is also thought that marine collagen has superior absorption and bioavailability, making it more effective. I really like the idea of protecting my skin from the inside out. I use lots of lotions and potions on my face, but realistically, there is only so much they can do. Whereas collagen taken internally can really make a difference to our skin.
