How to Live Your Best Life Ever

12th March 2021

Did you know that it is possible to plan for your best ever life? While for some it may seem that life comes easy for them, it’s not always the case. In fact, it’s often quite challenging to get to where you want to go.

Before you can move forward, however, you need to look back on how things have gone for you in the past. What would you need to do better in the future to live a happier, healthier life?

When you have worked this out, use strategy planning solutions to begin planning for your best ever life.

Think about your goals for the next year. This isn’t just your personal careers goals, but also personal development goals.

What is the thing you want most out of life? Remind yourself of the things that make you feel most happy and fulfilled. Think about how you can bring elements of that into your everyday life.

Goals only work if your plans include how you’re going to achieve them. In work, they’re known as SMART goals, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve your personal goals using this model, too.

SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound. For example ‘this time next year I want to XYZ, and I will do this by 123’. So whether you want to train for a marathon, travel the world, or save money, SMART goal setting can set you on your way to getting there.

While it’s important to think about the things that will make us happy in the future, we need to think about what has made us happy thus far. Yes, we have faced some significant challenges over the past year, but that doesn’t have to mean that you don’t get to think of the moments that made you happy. These things will show you what you value most and what you should strive towards doing in the next year or so.

Self-care is what most people think of when they think about putting themselves first. However, living a happy life is about way more than just that. Putting you first means doing just that all the time. Think about the things you need to learn, the skills you need to develop, weaknesses to acknowledge and how to fully embrace your own strengths. It may feel as though putting yourself first all the time is selfish, but you can only give energy to others if you have it.

Make lists of the things that make you feel bad. Maybe it could be stopping yourself from scrolling through social media throughout the week to keep you focused on your own stuff rather than spending your life comparing yourself to what others decide to share on their timelines.

If pandemic life taught us anything, it’s that life is way too short to spend it comparing your normal everyday to how others perceive theirs to be.

Surround yourself with positivity and you will be able to live your best life.
