Once you have done this, you can examine the area you’re in to find the best specific space to pitch your tent.

Remember to look for an area of ground that is particularly smooth and free of obstacles like tree roots. You also want it to be as flat as possible, as this will help you create the most comfortable sleeping area for nighttime.

Enjoy a good cup of morning coffee

You don’t have to miss out on your beloved cup of morning coffee just because you are camping, either. Instead, why not pack a small and lightweight Aeropress that will allow you to make proper filter coffee on the go with ease? You may even want to invest in a good-quality camp bed, which will provide you with a raised sleeping platform and elevate the quality of your sleep.

Let there be light

In the dark, it can be so much easier to trip over obstacles and even do basic things like get into your sleeping bag with ease. That is why, if you want to be comfortable when camping, it makes sense to take lights with you. A hanging light that can be suspended from the tab inside your tent is always a good idea. Good quality high-strength torches, especially if they can be clipped to your waistband so they are always on hand, are a smart idea too.

Lastly, a comfortable camping trip means eating well, and that means taking lots of yummy food to enjoy during your break. However, if you want a good selection of food, you will need to include fresh produce, and that means you will need to find a way to keep these items cool and safe.
