What’s more, eating in high-end places only makes you stick out like a sore thumb and denies you the chance to interact with locals.

Many restaurants in foreign countries avoid frozen meat, fish, and vegetables and opt for fresh food in a bid to attract picky customers and circumvent the high costs of food refrigeration. The fact that supplies don’t have to travel far to reach their kitchens is also a massive factor in that trend. Whatever their reason, this is an advantage you get without being charged extra.

Your daily diet is probably composed of foods that were introduced to you by someone else, perhaps your parents or friends. You have never made a discovery, and your country doesn’t give many opportunities for that since everyone is eating the very same foods. Travelling abroad gives you the chance to extend your meal assortment without having to piece together a recipe.
