Merial are on a mission to change this! They have launched a national campaign to reach one million cat owners to educate them on the importance of vaccination. The campaign is called ‘Viral Cats’.
Caring cat owners want their cats to be happy and healthy throughout their lives. One easy and important way to help achieve this is to regularly vaccinate your cats to help cover them against certain infectious diseases, some of which are very difficult to treat and can be fatal. The diseases that cats are most commonly vaccinated against are:
Many pet owners believe that if cats are vaccinated as kittens, the immunity received will protect them for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately this is not the case. After vaccination, the immune response reaches a peak and then begins to decline, until the level of immunity is no longer sufficient. Booster vaccination stimulates the immune response so that immunity is maintained.
