The Christmas Gift Guide for Her

14th November 2019

Well, I think this is my favourite gift guide. So many beautiful products for her which I’m very excited about. I hope it’s a good range that a lot of people will love and help to inspire you to find the perfect present for her, or even some things to add to your own Christmas list!

Onaie Sheepskin Slippers

Doesn’t everyone love getting a new pair of slippers for Christmas? I love these sheepskin Onaie ones. They are handmade in Poland, making them all unique, and they come in lots of different colours. They are incredibly cosy and warm and so soft to slip your feet into.

They all have hand-embroidered patterns, artisanal exposed stitching and layers of super-soft shearling. The techniques used by the team of highly skilled craftspeople in the Polish Highlands to craft them have been handed down from generation to generation and you can see the care and love that has gone into them, making them such a special pair of slippers.

Where to buy: Onaie RRP £35

Helly Hansen W Adore Puffy Parka

I love this coat from Helly Hansen so much. It is so incredibly warm, snuggly and really comfortable and it is such a good length too. It has fold-up reflectors on the arms for extra visibility, a soft and adjustable puffy hood and lots of pockets including two that zip up (and are soft and cosy inside to keep your hands warm), which is brilliant for keeping my keys and phone safe on the school run.

Even though it is so big and warm, it is really lightweight with its down and fibre proof lining and my favourite feature are the wrist gaiters which kind of hold the inside of the arms against you to stop all the cold air blowing up your sleeves! It really makes a difference and I love that it has them.

This is definitely an investment but it will last for years through all our freezing cold winters and it is truly brilliant quality with so many great, practical features that really make a difference. It has printed black metallic HH logos on the chest and the back which are nice and subtle and if you are looking for the perfect winter coat this is definitely one to consider. I really love it so much and I am so, so glad I have it during these freezing trips to school every morning.

Where to buy: Helly Hansen RRP £240

Helly Hansen Snowfall Beanie

This is the cosiest and warmest winter hat I have ever owned. It is so lovely to wear with it’s soft, fleecy inner fabric and I love the colour so much. It’s also very lightweight, and a generous size, but not overly big — it covers your head beautifully and kind of flops down so it looks great too. As it keeps you so warm I think it would be great for skiing, as well as our own, pretty chilly winters. The navy version is really lovely too.

Where to buy: Helly Hansen RRP £25.00

Browns Morganite and Diamond Stud Earrings

Browns make absolutely beautiful and unique jewellery pieces, prestige watches and engagement rings. These Morganite and Diamond Stud Earrings from their Rosa Mer Collection are stunning — crafted from solid 9ct rose gold, and with an oval cut morganite gemstone and bright white round brilliant cut diamond, they are simple and elegant and I love them so much.

They make such a special gift for a loved one who loves to wear beautiful jewellery, and will be something they will treasure forever.

Where to buy: Browns RRP £250.00

Olay Regenerist Whip Light As Air Moisturiser For Firmer Skin

I love Olay products and have used them for years and years and they just keep getting better and better. I love trying out their new products and their new Olay Regenerist Whip Cream is lovely.

It’s an anti-ageing moisturiser to help firm and reduce the look of wrinkles (with its advanced Amino-Peptide complex). It is uniquely whipped with moisture to transform from cream to liquid on the skin for fast absorption, enabling an optimal delivery of anti-ageing ingredients to the skin’s surface layers and providing the perfect base layer for makeup. I love getting skincare for Christmas, especially when it is something new to me, and this is a lovely treat.

Where to buy: Boots RRP £34.99 (But £23.32 at the moment!)

Cartwright & Butler Confectionery

These boiled sweets make such a gorgeous stocking filler – I love traditional sweets and these sweets from Cartwright & Butler come in such a lovely glass jar that you can reuse again after you’ve eaten them all!

They have all of the lovely classic boiled sweets: Rhubarb & Custards, Imperial Mints, Humbugs each made to traditional recipes and come in either a nostalgically inspired carton or their pretty ceramic clip-top glass jars.

TasteCard

I love going out for a meal with my family or with friends and when I do I always look for a discount before we go as I’m sure most people do. So a tastecard makes a great gift this Christmas – it is the world’s largest diners’ club and helps make your money go further at over 6000 restaurants like Pizza Express, Prezzo and Zizzi’s, as well as VUE and Odeon cinemas,  and attractions like Thorpe Park! You can get 241 meals or 50% off food, and a years subscription makes such a nice gift for anyone who loves to eat out!

Modibodi period pants

I think period pants are such a great idea and I hope they are something that more and more women become willing to try. Not only are they good for the environment but they are also better for your health than disposable period products and much more comfortable too.

They might not be everyone’s first choice when buying Christmas presents, but I think they actually make a really nice gift and are a great thing to add to your own list for someone to get you.

Modibodi are designed to be leak-free and hold up to two tampons of liquid so that every woman can feel confident no matter their time of the month. They make a great stocking filler for anyone looking for a plastic-free alternative to pads and tampons, or who just wants an easier life and they come in a range of styles to suit all shapes and sizes.

The clever and exclusive Modifier Technology™ has three layers; the first quickly wicks away moisture, fights bacteria and stops odours, a middle layer quickly absorbs fluid and locks it away and the third bottom layer gives you extra leak-proof protection to ensure no leaking through clothes.

Prices ranging from £15.50 to £25 for the underwear collections.

Where to buy: Modibodi Classic Brief RRP £21.95

Vaso Glass Straws

These premium glass straws from VASO are brilliant as a reusable solution for those who want to do something positive for the environment and to help replace the billions of plastic, disposable straws that end up in landfill and our oceans every year.

They are a reusable, sustainable and recyclable product, and are free from plastics, toxins, mineral oils and BPA. They give a 100% pure taste whilst being easy to clean, which is so important and they can be just washed in the sink and rinsed under the tap or popped in the dishwasher. They are also safe; being made from a strong, premium quality glass in Germany and they make a great stocking filler. They come in a couple of different sizes as well as a mixed box which is what I have and is great for using in different sized glasses.

Where to buy: Vaso RRP £15.49

Doulton Taste Filter Bottle

I always try to use reusable water bottles now; one that I can take out and about with me, that will last and is easy to wash seeing as I will be using it a lot. The new TASTE Bottle meets all of these requirements, whilst filtering your water so that it always tastes great. It comes in a choice of 3 colours, and is made by Doulton®, who specialise in manufacturing water filters; you can enjoy great-tasting water without the addition of chlorine, particles and other contaminants that are often found in mains tap water or other water sources.

The TASTE water bottle comes with a cartridge, which has a capacity of around 600 bottle-fills, so you only need to change it every few months, but the bottle can also be used without the filter in, which I think is great. It’s a really good water bottle, and is easy to drink from, is easy to clean, and I love having filtered water when I’m out of the house.

Where to buy: Doulton RRP £17.49

Vintage Inspired Lip Balm Compacts

These lip balms from Andrea Garland are amazing. The vintage-inspired mirrored compacts are filled with their handmade, cruelty-free, natural lip balm and they are so lovely. The lip balms are made by hand in small batches in Hackney, East London.

They also have an amazing repurposed, eco-friendly lip balm collection with vintage compacts and tins that they have collected on their travels which I think is so cool. They all so cute and I love that they are one-of-a-kind and make such a special gift. You can send any of the compacts back to them to have them refilled as well so you can use them again and again, and they now do a vegan option too.

The collection of vintage-inspired lip balms include the one I have, plus so many other beautiful and fun options and I was spoilt for choice.

Mermaid Gin

How incredibly beautiful is this bottle of gin? I can’t stop looking at it. Mermaid Gin comes from the Isle of Wight’s only Distillery, and contains ‘Mermaid’s Kiss’. It is a hand-crafted small-batch gin distilled using ten ethically-sourced botanicals. The bottle is plastic-free and uses entirely recyclable materials – including a plant-based seal around its wooden cork, and the company actively supports marine conservation projects. How great is all of that? I love companies that care about our planet.

It’s a smooth yet complex blend that features the freshness of organic lemon zest, the peppery notes in grains of paradise and a hint of sea air from fragrant rock samphire. The latter, foraged from the Isle of Wight’s cliffs, is known locally as ‘Mermaid’s Kiss’, hence the gin’s name. It is a refreshing and invigorating gin and would make a beautiful gift for any gin lover this Christmas.
