Explore Nature

Playing in the garden, taking a walk through the park or even a day at the beach are activities that can turn into fun science lessons if you take the right approach. Talk to your child about the different seasons and how they affect plants, animals, and trees. Hunt for fossils at the coast and teach your child where they came from. Discuss why fresh air and exercise are good for them. Be enthusiastic, as this will rub off on your child and they will adopt the same approach.

Go to Museums

Visiting different locations and mixing up your family routine is a great way to stimulate your child’s curiosity and give them a new perspective. Experiment at Home

Science is an important school subject and compulsory until the end of GCSE level, so it’s important that your child is engaged with it at least on some level. The more you expose them to it outside of school, the more interested they will be in school, especially if they understand how important it is to everyday life.
