Are All Multivitamins Created Equal? Feel Multivitamin Review + a Huge Discount!

7th October 2020

I’ve tried and tested many different vitamins and herbal supplements over the years, chopped and changed them as I’ve found out what works and added new ones when I’ve felt I’m lacking in something or changed what I’ve taken for better quality versions.

At the moment I am taking quite a few different ones, and I’m struggling to take them all each day. I either forget to take them after my meals or I just don’t get round to taking all of them because there are too many!

However, I’ve never really been interested in swapping them all for a multivitamin as I know that most of the ones available (particularly cheap ones on supermarket shelves) aren’t generally very good quality and don’t have everything you need. Plus they don’t tend to have high enough doses of each ingredient nor use the versions of each ingredient that our body can absorb best, as these usually cost more. Most multivitamins have been shown to do very little so they’re just not worth it.

I’m always interested in anything that might improve mine and my family’s health, as well as maintain it so I’m often reading about new supplements that I come across, checking out the reviews, and I especially love it if the company talks about the science behind their products and the background and research that has gone into the making of them.

Obviously, we would all ideally get everything we need from a healthy diet, but that just isn’t the case for the majority of us now, especially as the quality of our food has decreased.

So recently I have actually found a couple of brands who have created a multivitamin as part of their range and one in particular at a very decent price and with ingredients that you just don’t find in your average multivitamin.

Are all multivitamins created equal?

As I mentioned before, most cheap multivitamins that you can get from the supermarket or on Amazon don’t have great quality ingredients and are usually full of fillers and are just a waste of money.

When looking at a supplement it’s important that you look at the form of each vitamin and mineral, as some are much better and more easily absorbed by our bodies. Iron, for example, has over 20 forms.

Update February 2024: I am still buying and taking these and I’m still really happy with them!

Feel Multivitamin contains ingredients with the highest potency and bio-availability available, and then these are enhanced with Bioperine™.

Bioperine is a black pepper extract that enhances absorption of nutrients so you get even more benefit from them, and because Feel multivitamin is made of the types of nutrients that our body can best absorb, they don’t just go straight through our bodies like with low-quality vitamins.

What’s in it?

Feel Multivitamin not only includes the best forms of things you would normally find in a multivitamin – vitamin C, iron, magnesium, B vitamins – but also contains other great ingredients such as reishi mushrooms which are a powerful antioxidant, CoEnzyme Q10 which can help to slow down ageing and provides your cells with energy, Lutein which helps to reduce damage from blue light that we get from our screens and loads more brilliant ingredients to improve our health.

Feel contains almost all of the vitamins and minerals I was already taking plus loads more beneficial ingredients and I’m excited to see whether they improve my health and from all of the great reviews I am sure they will.

The brand, and my thoughts

When I was first introduced to Feel and started reading about the brand and the products it was clear that they care about what they are producing. Their multivitamin is cruelty-free and non-GMO, uses the best quality ingredients, the products are made in the UK and the packaging is environmentally friendly. They have also got honest feedback from health professionals which just increases my faith in them.

It’s also suitable for almost everyone as the multivitamin is certified vegan, gluten-free, kosher and non-allergenic. The folate and vitamin B12 it contains are methylated, which means that they are more suitable for those with MTHFR gene mutation who struggle with methylation.

I’ve swapped to Feel to review them and once I’ve finished off my others then I’m going back to Feel due to the quality of the ingredients as well as the fact I’ll actually save money. It also doesn’t have any of the synthetic fillers and bulking agents that most supplements contain that aren’t exactly great for our health. Plus, I’ll only have to take two tablets a day instead of the 5000(ish..) I have been taking!

How much is it?

Feel Multivitamin is £14.45 per month and you can get your first box for £13.01. That’s a good price for a really high-quality supplement and I’d expected it to cost a lot more. You get it on a subscription basis, plus you can get 20% off your first box so it’s worth trying. Go here for 20% off: WeAreFeel.com. It also comes with free delivery to your door (in the UK, Germany & France) so you don’t have to worry about running out but you can also cancel or pause at any time.

It comes in a biodegradable pouch which is brill and makes it great for travel too. I’ve wondered before about the metalised layer inside pouches like this, and apparently, it is not only great for UV and moisture protection but it is made from NatureFlex meaning that is also compostable!

Overall thoughts

Nope, it’s not the cheapest multivitamin out there, but that’s because it contains quality ingredients that can improve your health, and you absolutely get what you pay for when it comes to vitamins.

As with any supplement it takes time to have a positive effect on our bodies which makes it even more important to me that I’m taking ones that are high-quality so that I know I’m not just wasting my time and money.

The subscription and delivery is really convenient – I know that the idea of a subscription can sometimes put us off as companies make it as difficult as possible for you to leave (Hello Fabletics!!) – but I’m reassured that with Feel it’s super easy to cancel if we want to, so it’s actually a positive thing to be able to subscribe.

It’s a really clean vitamin, honesty and transparency is clearly important to the brand and I really think Feel have upped the game when it comes to multivitamins. It’s manufactured to the highest standards in the UK and sustainability is important to them at every stage.

Feel Multivitamin Review

I’m genuinely really pleased to have found a multivitamin that I think is worth taking, and that replaces almost all of my (many, many) other supplements. I plan to still continue using my magnesium oil spray as it’s quickly absorbed and you can’t really take too much magnesium, and taking my Omega-3 supplement, as well as Starflower oil which I am trying at the moment for other health reasons. That may still seem like a lot but it’s really not to me and is waaay less than I was taking before!
