All You Can Eat Buffet at COSMO Authentic World Kitchen Nottingham | A Review

26th November 2019

A couple of weeks ago we spent a lovely few hours at COSMO Nottingham — an amazing all you can eat world buffet restaurant, located on Milton Street near the Intu Victoria Centre shopping centre.

The Nottingham restaurant is their flagship all you can eat buffet restaurant and features two VIP rooms and ten live cooking stations, and up to 150 dishes to pick from on the all you can eat menu.

It’s a huge place and there is so much choice, with a wide range of cuisines from exotic curries fragrant with cumin and turmeric from their House of Spice section to comfort foods like chilli, burgers and fried chicken. It makes a great place to go if there is a big group of you with varying tastes. I love going for a sit-down meal where you are waited on, but this makes a nice change and gives you the opportunity to try loads of different things, and stuff yourself silly if you feel like it (which I did!).

There is Indian, Thai, Chinese, Italian, Japanese and more in the all you can eat buffet. My favourite section is the brilliant teppanyaki grill, where you can ask the teppanyaki experts to grill steaks, king prawns and scallops for you whilst you wander around filling up your plate. This was a highlight for me — it’s not often I get to enjoy scallops so I loved being able to request freshly cooked ones as often as I liked!

The dishes are all constantly topped up with freshly cooked and hot food and we were really impressed with the quality. These types of buffets can sometimes be a disappointment and can be more about eating as much as you possibly can, but COSMO offers great quality food that is always properly hot, fresh and tasty and we loved it.

As soon as I saw the dessert area I knew we would have to take Ava back there and she would love it so much. After you’ve filled up on the mains, you can move on to the vast array of puddings, with cakes, profiteroles, brownies, ice creams, sweets, waffles, fruit and more! There was so much choice and it was amazing! Ava would totally be in heaven.

I drank huge gin and tonics with my meal and I was really impressed by the price, especially for a restaurant in the centre of town and for the amount of food you can eat the prices are good too. Plus there are often offers on (kids can eat for a pound on Tuesday’s!), with discounts for the emergency services and NHS staff.

It’s a really sociable place so is perfect for a work night out or any other social gathering — plus that way you still have people around to chat to whilst you eat, as people will be getting up at different times to get more food. We were there on what seemed to be a pretty busy Saturday night, but it never felt overcrowded whilst you were getting food, and you never particularly had to wait to get to a dish.

Since it opened in 2003, COSMO has expanded throughout the UK and Ireland offering customers a global dining experience. I love that an all you can eat meal out at COSMO allows you to try loads of different cuisines and new things. We tried Kimchi for the first time, which I’ve wanted to try for a while, and it was really nice (but very, very spicy!), as well as Chinese steamed buns and other Asian dishes which were so tasty.

We had a lovely evening at this all you can eat buffet in Nottingham city centre — it was nice to just take our time, enjoying lovely food and drink, and we’ll definitely be back again.

If you go to the Nottingham restaurant and park at Q-Park you can get a 25% discount on your parking — so make sure you ask for a validation ticket from staff.
