3 Strategies to Increase Sales for Your Business

Source

You might have a fantastic product to sell, but if not many people are buying from you, then you need to find new strategies to get your products out into the hands of the buying public.

To increase your sales then, you might want to consider the following.

#1: Take your product to the people

If people aren’t coming to you, then you should go to the people.

So, you might set up a stall at trade events, village fetes, market places, and at any local festivals that are happening near you.

You might also set up a pop-up store. If there are any empty retail spaces near you, it could be that you rent them for a short period of time to give your products a sales push. Check out the article at Shopify for how to make this a reality, and then work with agencies such as Design4Retail to help you with the visual side of your temporary retail store.

You might consider subliminal advertising as well. This is where you use your product in everyday life, with the hope that people might ask you more about the item you are using. You can then give them your sales pitch. Of course, you don’t need to wait for people to ask, as you can force it into a conversation if you have the confidence to do so!

#2: Seek the help of your customers

Assuming you already have customers on your side, you might want to seek their support.

So, you might ask them to pass the good word about your product to their friends, families, and social media followers, and then give them a discounted product or freebie if their help brings in more custom for you.

You might also ask your customers to write good things about your product on business review sites, such as Yelp, Bing Places, and Yell.com. And you might ask them to provide quotes about your business too, as you will then have the opportunity to create a testimonial page on your website.

Of course, if you really want your customers to help you, then you need to place a priority on improving your customer service. Not only will they be happier to write reviews and testimonials if they have a positive opinion about you, but they might naturally talk about your business to others without having been asked to do so in the first place.

#3: Broaden your online sales channels

If you are only relying on your website for your sales, then those hoped-for profits might be a long time coming. Consider using other websites to sell your products, including Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and Shopify. You might want to set up a Facebook store too! And then browse the internet for those online business owners who might be willing to sell your products from their websites. Assuming it makes sense for them to do so – a wedding photographer might be willing to promote your wedding cakes, for example – they might be very happy to list (or link) your products if you could also return the favour.
