3 Fun Hobbies to Get Involved With in 2025

Are you looking for a new hobby? Having a hobby is so important for your overall health – especially your mental health. By doing something you enjoy and trying something new, you’ll not only help your stress levels, but you’ll improve your mood, increase your confidence and test your mind – engaging your brain is something you do a lot less once you stop studying!
There are countless hobbies which you can start doing in 2025. What it comes down to is your interests and how accessible it is to you (sometimes your budget comes into play as well). You could start getting into cars and playing around with classic cars in particular. You could get involved with mixology or cooking, or there is something completely different, like gardening (you could grow your own vegetables and then cook them).
Below, we look into three fun hobbies to get involved with in 2025.
Classic cars
Cars are something that a lot of people stay away from, but once they get involved with them, they realise they are a lot of fun – especially classic cars. There is a lot of history to classic cars and a lot of shows which you can get involved with, if you own one, or simply want to see other classics. It’s a more expensive hobby to get involved in (you’ll need to buy a classic car, potentially take it to a Classic Car Body Shop and the day-to-day upkeep)
Cooking or mixology
Cooking and mixology are two hobbies which come hand in hand. Often, if you are a good cook, you’ll be able to make good cocktails to accompany the meal (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If you are looking to start a new hobby, both are extremely enjoyable, fun to do and aren’t too expensive – plus you have to eat each day, so why not cook something new which you might enjoy. When it comes to mixology, start with simple cocktails, such as gin mixers, then work your way up to more complicated ones – your friends and family members will enjoy this hobby, once you invite them round for some drinks to practice your creations.
Gardening
Get some fresh air, whilst enjoying seeing things you plant grow into something impressive. Gardening is good for your mental health, whilst it also gets you active in a light way. You can grow your own plants as well as vegetables, which you can then use to cook with, which is even more rewarding. If you don’t have a garden, you could buy your own allotments. This way, you have somewhere to go when you want to enjoy some gardening. Just note that sometimes allotments have a long waiting list. If you have children, get them involved too – gardening is also good for your kids’ health.
What hobbies do you think you will be starting this year? Will you be cooking, gardening or buying a classic car? Is there a hobby which you think is very popular that we should be sharing with our readers? Let us know in the comment box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
