It sounds strange but my favourite part about Christmas is Christmas Eve as me and my mum have had a tradition for many years where we spend the night wrapping presents together in which we both also have a glass of wine/beer and listen to the radio while chatting about everything and anything just brilliant to spend the time together before all the stress of the next morning

Spending time with my wonderful family, my daughter recently wrote a piece about her most favourite time of the year, where most kids would say this would be Christmas Day my daughter wrote that Christmas Eve is her favourite Time of the year as she gets to spend it with her family (my mum, stepdad, 2 sisters and there partners and my niece and 2 nephews) I’m so glad that at such a young age my children already know that it’s who’s around the tree that is important not what’s under it.

I love watching festive feel good films while drinking hot chocolate and keeping toasty warm in front of the fire. Wrapping gifts that I have spent ages picking out to make sure the receiver loves it.. People always seem kinder to each other at this time of year.

My favourite thing has always been pure unadulterated, uninterrupted time with family. This year, that just gets better, with it being the first year as a married couple…and..with a baby! I never used to really enjoy christmas before my fiance came into my life because my family never really went all out with the whole festive house, festive food etc. Thanks to my faince and his family who literally have a santa’s grotto style house at xmas i became a bit of a kid all over again. So now every christmas we find ourselves creating new traditions we carry into the following years, like a new decoration for the tree every year, i make cookies or handmade chocolates now every year and making the house smell and look like christmas all makes us very happy 🙂 I love christmas for the warm feeling i get from all the little traditions we are creating and carrying on together xx

Christmas is the best time of the year, with many songs bringing people near, I spend Christmas at home, with aunty having a good moan, my family cuddled next to me, and every ones expression showing their glee. With the fire burning bright, and the tree is a wonderful sight, baubles already hung on the tree, with many splendored colour for everyone to see. Christmas has to be a world of joy, presents for a girl or a boy, presents opened with eagerness, wondering what they will have next.
Perhaps a quick sip of the drinks to be, with all of the people whom are visiting me. Add presents that shake and shimmer, this Christmas will be a winner. But the best bit of Christmas for me, Is the embraced happiness shown on people we love dear.

I love everything about Christmas, from finding the perfect gift for someone, wrapping presents, putting the tree up, planning Christmas dinner, putting out the mince pie and beer for Father Christmas and carrots for the reindeer, getting up in the morning and seeing my girls faces when the beer pie and carrots are gone, and when they see their presents. Its just lovely, I wish it was the same for everyone
