Why Starting a Business is Now Easier Than Ever

Believe it or not, at one point in time, starting a business used to feel like an impossible dream. There were financial barriers, bureaucratic red tape, and the overwhelming need for a physical location. All of this would cost a lot of money, and sometimes it would mean having to pack up all your things and just move somewhere else in hopes of getting a business started, and again, there’s all the financial barriers too.

But today, things have drastically changed, and those traditional barriers aren’t as tough as they once were. Sure, they’re still there, but not nearly as prevalent, which means it’s a lot easier to start a business with smooth sailing. Now, anyone with a great idea and a bit of drive can launch a business from almost anywhere, and it doesn’t have to break the bank.

No Need for a Physical Location

Do you remember when setting up a shop meant finding the perfect (and expensive) storefront? Well, that’s thankfully a thing of the past. These days, you don’t need a physical location to start a business. Sure, sometimes it can still help, but it really depends on the business itself though. So, whether you’re selling products, services, or both (which is super common nowadays), the internet has made it possible to run your business entirely online.

So, just think that all the platforms out there, like Etsy, Shopify, and even social media, will allow you to reach customers from anywhere in the world. Plus, making your own products from scratch for your business (like online) is so much easier, too.

Financial Barriers Have Shrunk

Since money was mentioned earlier, starting a business used to require a pretty big financial cushion. You’d usually expect it to be the wealthy or people borrowing from family, as even back then loans were hard to get. Just think about it, inventory, marketing, and office space were just a few of the expenses that made launching a company intimidating and just too much. But today, with the rise of digital tools, those costs have dramatically decreased.

Now, you can create a professional website, market your products on social media, and even manage your finances with low-cost or free tools. You don’t even need to hire anyone, since nowadays a lot of AI tools can do it all. Plus, there’s even crowdfunding platforms nowadays too which makes it all even more easier in terms of financing.

Age Is No Longer a Barrier

Starting a business was once seen as a young person’s game or something only for professionals with years of experience. While sure, that narrative is still pushed nowadays, it’s not necessarily true. Actually, nowadays, entrepreneurs come in all ages, and thanks to online resources, everyone can learn how to launch a business.

You’ll sometimes find kids in high school running a business, college students, and even those in their retirement age who decide to do it as well. So, the key is access to information. Basically, there’s just so much free info online that this alone has seriously made all the difference.

You Don’t Have to Go It Alone

That’s the thing: it used to be something that you’d be on your own with, and sure, nowadays, you still are, but it’s less overwhelming. Just think about it; there are a lot of legal and bureaucratic steps that you need to consider. For example, if you’ve always dreamt of working and living in Australia (and who wouldn’t), all the bureaucratic steps can really get in the way of it all.

Thankfully, ABN assist can help you set up a business in Australia. But why look into assistance like this? Well, unless you’re a lawyer, the average person tends to stumble through paperwork. A lot of documents aren’t necessarily all that clear, and they are usually overly complicated, so you might even just quit or say “forget it” to your dream due to all of this confusion. But really, why do that? That’s why it’s great to get some form of assistance to get some clarity.

Most countries will have something available for aspiring entrepreneurs (especially internationals). So yes, if you dream of living and working in another country, it is possible!
