Wellness Remedies Right at Home

15th November 2019

If you’re in need of a health hit, and you don’t have time to go to the doctor or visit the nearest chemist, you might have to rely on home wellness remedies right from your living room!

But what kind of remedies should you look into? Especially when it’s cold out and everyone has a bad case of the flu to deal with?

Make Sure You Won’t Change How Your Medicines Work

First of all, be sure that any home remedies you take won’t change or stop the effects of any prescription medicines or over the counter drugs you already take. Seeing as you don’t get these types of medications without a very good reason for them, having a simple home remedy like a bit of Vsavi interrupt the way they work just wouldn’t be worth it!

You might be going through a few aches and pains, or you feel there are some benefits to taking a homemade supplement from time to time, but nothing is worth your long term health.

We All Have Honey in the Cupboard

Of course, one of the most famous and quick home wellness remedies you’ll come across is honey. And we all have a jar or squeezy bottle of the stuff in the cupboard! Just take a quick scan through your kitchen right now, you’ll find it behind the apple sauce or a tin of soup somewhere…

But honey is a completely natural occurring substance, and it has a lot of benefits to it. If you’ve got an annoying cough currently scratching up your throat, mixing honey with a bit of hot water, or just having a spoonful of the stuff on its own, will help to smooth and lather your inner throat for less pain and irritation. And if you’re currently feeling a bit low in terms of blood sugar, honey is a great way to bring it back up and put the energy back into your step.

A Bowl of Chicken Soup is Tasty and Nutritious

Mixing a bit of broth, with a bit of chicken, as well as two or three different types of vegetables, is great for your body. It’s a good way to take lunch or dinner, and it’s great for anyone currently suffering with a bit of flu or a winter cold – it’s also good for people suffering from swollen ankles or inflamed gums, because of the food’s natural anti-inflammatory properties.

Take a Hot Bath

A hot bath helps to calm your body down, and reduce the physical signs of stress, such as tense muscles and a permanently clenched jaw.

Having a good soak in the water is great for your body, but make sure that the water you slip into isn’t too hot – you don’t want your skin to go red, or for there to be very visible whiffs of steam coming through the bubbles!

Most things in your house are good for your health, but be careful when using them.
