First off, when should you visit?

The first question that pops up in the mind while planning a visit to Disney World is what is the best time to visit. Taking into consideration the current scenario, we would say that the ideal time to visit Disney World would be in October when the entertainment complex will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. It recently teased its fans by giving a sneak peek of it.

If you can’t spare time in October, then the holiday season between November and January is also too good for you to miss because a lot of events will be happening during that period and the spirit of the season is magical.

Visiting before October is not recommended because the park is still in the process of opening and there are high chances that by September you wouldn’t be able to enjoy everything fully.

What should be the length of your stay?

Visitors usually ask how many days will be required to enjoy everything at Disney World. Now this question is a bit tricky because there are a lot of factors at play but as a baseline, you will need a minimum of 5 days to enjoy this trip. If you are visiting just for the sake of your kids, then a 7-day deal would be ideal for you as there are so many theme parks that you will need spare time in between to rest.

How to save money on tickets?

During your Disney World trip planning, you should keep in mind that a longer trip here will be more beneficial than a short one because single-day tickets are relatively on a higher-end compared to multi-day tickets. The more time you spend here, the more value for money you get.

If you are planning to visit Disney World in 2021 then book your tickets now only because as their 50th anniversary holiday season approaches, prices of tickets are likely to soar up in September or October.

Where should you stay?

Disney World has some very luxurious resorts, however most of them are not budget-friendly. This is why visitors generally compare onsite and off-site stays. Both of them come with their advantages and disadvantages.

When you go for an off-site stay, it is not as heavy on your pocket as there are great Airbnb homes available for rent but, the problem with off-site is that you don’t get Fastpass and extra hours. Without fast passes on a busy day, you might need to wait 4-5 hours in queues for your turn for famous attractions.

From where can I book a package?

For this, you can easily book exciting packages from Disney World’s official site with different combinations of hotels and restaurants. Using a travel agent is also a good option but only go for the ones who are specialists for the theme park. Travel agents who exclusively deal in Disney-related get a commission from Disney itself, so they will not charge you extra fees.

What should I pack?

Packing plays an essential role in saving money, by packing the right things in your bag you can save on various silly expenses around the theme parks.

You should carry a lightweight water-resistant backpack, external chargers, a water bottle with a filter because tap water of Florida isn’t something you want to taste, sunscreen and bloating paper for face and padding rolls because you will be on your feet most of the time.

This is a non-exhaustive list as every traveller has distinct needs but some basic things are a must for a smooth experience at Disney World

Should I prepare an Itinerary?

If you are visiting Disney World for the first time, then you should have a plan for your trip around the park as it saves a lot of time and helps you enjoy other possible rides.

Many people go with the assumption they will improvise once they reach the destination which is not a very good idea because you have to make the best use of your FastPass, which is only possible if you have an idea of all attractions and rides in the park. Also, not every ride will be your cup of tea.

What about dining?

There are more than 200 places in Disney World to enjoy some delicious food and 30 full-service restaurants inside the parks. You should do thorough research on the restaurants and decide beforehand the foods which you would like to try. If you are tight on budget then, dining at Disney restaurants can be expensive for you. In such cases, you can bring your groceries (to make small meals or snacks) and eat from local stores to save some money.

How can I get transportation?

Walt Disney World is spread across twenty seven thousand acres which is the same size as San Francisco. So to cover most of it by foot would be a good idea. If you stay at a particular Disney hotel, you can have transportation privileges which will save a lot of time. Otherwise, you should consider renting a car to visit the parks.

We tried to cover everything in this end-to-end guide for your Disney World trip, be it how and when you should arrive, to what you should pack for your journey. It’s always a good idea to plan your trip in advance. Finally, we would like to give you a pro tip, try and visit Disney World just before it opens in the morning, the view would be amazing!
