How to Get That Youthful Glow

Source

For sure, it’s a privilege to get older, but if we are totally honest, as much as we all want to grow old and have a great life, we want to maintain that undeniable glow of youth, too, right? Well, these days, you kind of can have it all – you can grow up and grow older, while still having great skin too. Here’s how:

Drink plenty of water

If you want to always have a youthful glow, you need to start from the outside in, and you need to start with water because the more hydrated you are, the plumper and clearer your skin will be. You don’t even need to drink from the fountain of youth for this one to work – plain old tap water will do the job just as well.

Always wear sunscreen

You know what’s cooler than a tan that lasts a week? Skin that looks flawless for decades. Sunscreen is the unsung hero of glowing skin. Wear it every single day. Yes, even when it’s cloudy. Yes, even if you’re “just running to Target.” Sun damage is sneaky, and your future self is already drafting you a thank-you note.

Exfoliate, but not too much

Exfoliation is like decluttering your skin; out with the old, in with the glow. A couple of times a week is perfect. More than that, and you’re basically attacking your face with sandpaper (don’t be that person). Keep it gentle, and your skin will repay you by looking fresh instead of furious.

Moisturise twice a day

Think of moisturiser as the bouncer at the velvet rope of your pores. It locks in hydration, keeps the bad stuff out, and makes your skin look plump and dewy. Apply it morning and night, and if you feel extra fancy, press it in with both hands like you’re in one of those chic beauty commercials.

Get enough sleep

Want a free glow-up? Sleep. Not the five-hours-and-pray kind, but real, deep, drool-on-the-pillow rest. Your skin uses that time to repair, restore, and refresh. Skip it, and hello, dark circles and dullness. Clock those Zs and wake up looking like your own Instagram filter.

Get a glow with Korean products

If you haven’t dabbled in Korean skin care, where have you been? Their whole “glass skin” thing is basically glow royalty. Sheet masks, lightweight layers, and skin-first philosophy can upgrade your routine in minutes. You don’t have to go full 10-step commitment, but snatching a few tricks can work wonders.

Eat foods high in antioxidants

Skin care isn’t just bottles and jars, it’s brunch, too. Antioxidant-rich foods like berries, spinach, and nuts help you radiate, while cutting down on sugar keeps pesky breakouts at bay. Basically, you can eat your way to glow-town (and yes, coffee still counts… sort of).

The fountain of youth might be a myth, but you can still get that youthful glow with a few smart decisions and some serious self-care, so maybe it’s not so much of a myth, but more of an allegory for the right stuff that we have identified here. A fountain would be nice, though, right?
