We all know how quickly technology can move. New phones appear every year, laptops evolve with dizzying regularity, and smart devices constantly offer faster speeds or more features. It’s easy to feel like you’re living in a home filled with outdated tech, even if you’re usually up to date on the latest upgrades.

In many cases, the tech we already own is more than capable of keeping pace and can do far more than we realise. With one or two thoughtful adjustments, both digital and physical, older devices can run faster, work more efficiently, and unlock features we may never have explored.
Before assuming a device needs replacing, consider a few ways to make the most of what’s already in your home.

One of the simplest ways to improve device performance is to remove the quiet buildup of digital clutter that can accumulate over time without you even realising it.
