As you well know if you read this blog, we are huge fans of the Trunki brand in our house. I’ve written about them so many times now and my love for the Trunki suitcases in particular is genuine; I think they’re great. A also takes the lovely Leeroy the Lion Trunki backpack to school every day and she loves it.

We’ve been lucky enough to have been sent the brand new Trunki suitcase – Flora the Fairy, and I’m also very excited to be giving one away too, so keep reading!

Flora the Fairy Trunki is a brand new Trunki (just launched last week!) and she’s a very pretty one. The colours are bright and beautiful and any kid obsessed with fairies will love it. It comes with over 45 lovely, glittery stickers, with different coloured clothes for the fairies on the suitcase, butterflies, stars, hearts and more. They’re a lovely addition and help to make the Trunki more personalised.

As with all Trunki’s, Flora the Fairy has 18 litres capacity and is lightweight and durable. The lockable catches open easily and close securely, and it has a great carry handle for when an adult needs to carry it, as well as two smaller handles. The long strap can also be unhooked one side so that you can pull your child along.

We use our Trunki anytime Ava goes away anywhere – we can fit everything we need for her in, and for flights we use them as hand luggage and fill it with activity books and snacks to keep her occupied. I’ve recommended them to so many people when going abroad, as they’re brilliant to have at the airport with you. They are hand luggage approved, which is great, and they’re just fantastic for keeping little ones entertained whilst you’re stuck in queues checking in, or waiting to board. When we went to Portugal last year Ava and her younger cousin were kept entertained with their Trunki’s the whole time we were at the airport, riding on them and playing with them constantly. All of the Trunki suitcases have the horns for little ones to hold on to whilst they’re riding on them, and Flora the Fairy’s are pink and glittery too!

Inside the Trunki there is an internal pocket to keep bits in, as well as what Trunki call a ‘teddy bear seatbelt’ – which is great for keeping clothes (or teddies!) more secure. I recommend getting one of the Trunki tidy bag‘s which fit inside the Trunki’s. We’ve had one since our very first Trunki when Ava was tiny and they’re brilliant to have, particuarly on a plane. I fill it with all the toys, books and games to keep her entertained during the flight, and then I can remove that once we’re seated and stick the Trunki in the overhead lockers. They’re a great addition to have.

All Trunki’s are made and designed in the UK and come with complete a five-year guarantee! Trunki’s are such amazing quality and they really last. They obviously tend to get bashed around a lot but they can take it and ours still look as good as new and they’ve been away with us a lot.

I also think that Trunki’s are great for all different ages. I’ve bought them as gifts for babies, because I think they’re so useful to have to keep all their stuff in when you’re going away, but Ava at six still loves hers so much, and it always comes away with us. She still loves playing with it at home too and was very excited about getting our new addition, Flora the Fairy, and decorating it herself.
