Brightening Up Our Home, with a Photowall Canvas | Photowall Review (& a Discount For You!!)

5th May 2020

I’ve recently been starting to do up our house bit by bit, and one thing I have really been wanting is some great art for the walls.

I’m very fussy when it comes to this though, and I don’t want to make any kind of investment in something that I’m not mad about and might decide I don’t like it after all soon after putting it up.

I’ve been very lucky that Photowall asked to work with me to review one of their wall canvasses and I now have an amazing piece of art on my dining room wall, which I really love.

I like art to be quite fun and bright and this fits perfectly with that and it really adds something to the room and livens up the white walls.

I chose the canvas of Modesty Thinking  (with red lips) and I love it so much. It looks super cool on our white dining room walls and I absolutely love the style of it.

With Photowall’s canvasses, you have to put them together yourself so that they can be safely packaged and delivered, which I was quite daunted by at first. But actually it was really straightforward, didn’t take long at all and it looks absolutely perfect. I chose to not have the print go over the edges as I don’t think that would have worked with the print I chose and it is all perfectly aligned despite us putting it together!

The canvas is amazing quality, with really bright colours for the print. It’s all made of strong materials and was really easy to hang, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Photowall again. They are also offering my readers a brilliant discount off the entire Photowall website so keep reading if you are looking for some great art for your home!

As well as canvasses they also do framed prints, wallpapers, posters and really cool wall murals. I’d love to transform Ava’s room with one of them – how cute is this Jungle Friends one? I think it’s so pretty and fun. They have so many different styles so you can really express your personality and tastes in each room.

Photowall started in 2006 when two brothers wanted to put their technical background and interest in design to good use, by starting to print wallpaper digitally. The company focuses on quality, creative design and custom-made products and they are always looking out for new designers and innovative illustrators so that they can offer the most inspiring designs. They now have their own factory in Sweden where they love to create and constantly test new ideas.

Their mission is to help people fill their walls with more than simply a painted colour – either with the perfect wall art in their collection or with them making it for you. Quality is super important to Photowall and they strive to minimise their environmental impact too – all of their production is to order, so they only produce the number of products required which means none are held in stock or discarded unnecessarily. The printing ink they use for wallpapers contains no solvents or hazardous chemicals and is biodegradable, and any waste material is recycled.

They also work with Vi Agroforestry, with whom they plant around 5000 trees every year in East Africa. Vi Agroforestry plants trees and crops at the same time, which returns the natural fertility to ravaged fields and puts nutritional food on tables. The trees also improve the local climate and access to water., whilst planting them improves farmer yields and family incomes. I love shopping with companies that really try to give back and that care about our planet.

I chose a large size canvas for our wall as the room has a large expanse of white and it is huge, but looks great where it is hung. I love the black and white with just a splash of bright red, and I’m so pleased with it. The quality of the product is perfect, and it was delivered really quickly after ordering too.

Photowall have very kindly given me a code to share with you all for an amazing 25% off anything on their site for the next month! The code to use is birdsandlilies25 – go to Photowall.co.uk to have a look at all of their beautiful wall art. And make sure you let me know if you get something!

I was sent a canvas from Photowall to review, but all words and opinions are my own. See my full disclosure policy here.
